Metal roof replacement

Insulation board system 

Another option we use is to install an insulation board system that overlays the existing metal roof. When a waterproof membrane is included, the system completely seals the entire roof area, and adds the benefit of ceiling insulation. 

We specify Nuralite’s Enertherm insulated roof cladding system. It contributes to an effective waterproof, energy-efficient roof upgrade. The cladding is comprised of multiple layers of gastight aluminium foil around a rigid foam core. Enertherm has a 20-year warranty.

Tips for maintaining your metal roof

Clear debris from the roof

Leaves and rubbish that collect on your roof especially in roof valleys and flashings provide a trap for moisture and salt-laden air and this can promote corrosion.
 

Remove moss and lichen

Moss and lichen trap moisture, and lichen in particular can damage painted surfaces. If you have an older metal roof, spray a moss and lichen remover on it every few years.
 

Replace lead

Some older metal roofs have lead flashings and lead-headed nails. Replace these to prevent galvanic corrosion. Ask us to secure and extend the life of your corrugated roof by upgrading the fixings. 
 

Re-paint

A new coat of paint makes your roof look better and extends its life. Make sure any rust has been treated and the roof surface is clean before painting it.
